In 2023, LGI homes hosted their Circle of Excellence Awards at Le Fontainebleau hotel in Miami. The hotel is an icon of the miami art deco style, and we wanted to bring those shapes into the event space.
I focused on the high impact objects that presenters would be interacting with.. I created a display case and a podium with intricate designs pulled from the art deco designs around the hotel. Since most of the pictures of the event would feature these two pieces, it was important that they struck a monumental pose.
For the main gala we created large 14’ flying screens, also referencing art deco designs elsewhere in the hotel, and filled with chandelier crystals that created glamorous visuals when the stage lights hit it.
The pieces all fit together to ensure that the event had a cohesive visual language that elevated the space to match the award show gala, and felt cohesive with the style of the venue.
